3DVA Cow Head!!

Alright, I finally started on my posting.. I'm gonna be posting everything at once. Except the character design one as I'm redrawing it. =D

Err.. For my first blog post, I will be posting the Cow Head that I have done.
These are the images:

Reflection Time:

Err.. For the first lesson of school, I was sick so I missed the first lesson of 3DVA and GMAPS. So this means that I had to start doing this cow head practically by myself. Thank God for the wonderfully detailed tutorial on how to create this cow head.

While doing this cow head, the first thing we were supposed to do was make the nose of the cow head, this was done with a cube. We kinda move the vertex of the cubes around in order to give it shape or enlarge it or reduce it. Then we had to extrude one end of it in order to start forming the head. This was a rather painful process for it.. This is because I had redone this entire head about 3 or 4 times, as I felt that the nose was too big and not proportionate to the head. Even though I redone it quite a couple of times, I still felt that way, after I had extruded the head for the final time. But I decided to just heck care and see how it looks after I have completed the entire thing. The outcome was rather satisfying though and the head did not look too small compared to the nose as I found out. It was just a misperception on my account as I forgot I was doing a cow head and was comparing it to a human. xD

All along this entire practical was basically extruding in or extruding out. There was also instances where we had to delete faces, such as the eyes. But all these we had basically done during IN3D. Oh! The ear was another dilemma for me as I could not get it to like obtain the diamond shape that I wanted. But after a couple of times of moving and removing the vertexes I finally got sort of the shape i wanted. Then I did the mouth which was interesting.. Got quite a lot of funny expression from this cow just by moving the mouth, but in the end I decided to just use the mouth in the picture as it looked rather comical

Soo.. This is a pretty well done Dog. I mean Cow. xP

Okay.. Soo.. I can't seem to find any questions to answer for this tutorial.. Soo.. I'm going to say that there is none. =)
~End~
